Man in hospital following stabbing near Mayor Wright Housing
KALIHI (HawaiiNewsNow) - A man believed to be in his 20s is in stable condition after an early morning stabbing.
According to police, the incident happened Thursday at about 1:45 a.m. near Mayor Wright Housing.
Police say the victim was walking down the sidewalk. When the suspect walked by, the two reportedly got into an argument. The suspect then stabbed the victim four times.
Police say the victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition, but was later upgraded to stable condition.
The suspect has been identified as John Posco Sukuruta, 24, he was arrested for attempted murder and remains in police custody.
