Soto Academy participates in Walk-A-Thon for Japan | Community Spirit

Students from Soto Academy recently participated in a Walk-A-Thon for Japan Earthquake Tsunami Relief.

The purpose of the project is to help the people in Japan and to teach students the importance of helping others.

Students received pledges from family and friends a week prior to the one hour walk-a-thon.

Pledges were either a flat rate or $/lap. During the walk-a-thon, students recorded the number of laps completed.

All money collected after the walk-a-thon totaled over $12,000, which was presented to the American Red Cross.
