Aloha Medical Mission Facilities Benefits From Work Project | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
Volunteers from the Rotary Club of Metropolitan Honolulu improved the facilities at the Aloha Medical Mission on April 30, as a part of the annual Rotarians at Work Day. The building is an elegant construction that needs some help to keep it in good shape, ready to serve the mission. In addition to administrative offices, there are small dental and medical treatment areas for the needy of Hawaii.
The Metrotarians (nickname) focused on repairing the steps/platform in the middle of the building that leads to the main door. Its tubular railing is visible in the above picture. They also installed new flooring, which a club member secured a donor to contribute, in one of the small dental treatment rooms and repair an overhead leak in a bathroom.
Rotarians At Work Day occurs the last Saturday in April each year. Started in 2006 as a joint effort between two Rotary Districts (one in the United States and one in Mexico), Rotarians at Work Day continues to grow. Each year, Clubs around the world identify a hands-on project that all members can participate in to help their local community. Visit www.rotariansatwork.org.
